Consultation has concluded

The Trafalgar bridge was constructed in 1994 by East Perth Redevelopment Authority (EPRA) and was eventually handed over to the City in 1997. The existing timber decking is reaching the end of its useful life and is in need of renewal where it is evident a number of the timber decking planks are splitting, and some are in various stages of decay.

To maintain the aesthetics, and improve service levels, all the existing decking on Trafalgar Bridge will be replaced with timber planks and will involve the installation of new bolting system, the dismantling and disposal of the existing decking adjacent to Henry Lawson Walk, East Perth.

Works are scheduled to occur on weekdays only between 7:00am and 7:00pm from Monday 9 March to Friday 17 April 2020 (weather permitting).

During this period, approved traffic management will be in place to safely guide pedestrians and cyclists. While access will be maintained, delays should be expected.

The City appreciates the communities understanding while these necessary works are underway.
