After an extensive engagement program, we are pleased to advise that the Draft Perth Capacity Plan – Towards 2036 and Beyond is now available to comment.
This renewed plan, will shape how Perth can grow, connect, and thrive as a globally connected, inclusive, and future-focused capital city.
This plan is the City’s primary strategic document. It sets the vision and direction for Perth over the next decade and guides detailed planning, investment, and decision-making.
The finalisation of the Perth Capital City Plan – Towards 2036 and Beyond will continue to be informed by the voices of stakeholders and our community, and we want to ensure that as many people as possible have the chance to contribute.
If you participated in the first phase of engagement through workshops, surveys, or pop-up sessions—thank you! Your input has been invaluable. An engagement report capturing these insights has helped shape the draft plan.

How You Can Get Involved There are several ways to participate in the engagement process:
Complete the Community Survey – For Local Residents. Community Members and Visitors (Open until 11:59pm, Sunday 15 March,2026). Click here to complete the survey.

What Happens Next The feedback on the Draft plan will directly inform the development of Perth Capital City Plan with final endorsement expected by mid-2026.
