Why is the City undertaking this project?
A need for a new public toilet in Mardalup Park was identified in the City of Perth Public Toilet Plan 2022-2032.
The current Mardalup Park facilities currently consists of a playground, basketball court, open lawn and picnic and BBQ facilities. To support and encourage people to spent time using these facilities and to fill a gap identified in the City’s public toilet network a new toilet was approved by City of Perth Council.
What will the survey information be used for?
Your feedback is essential in helping us select and progress the design of the new public toilet facility at Mardalup Park.
We will carefully consider your input alongside requirements from other stakeholders to ensure the final design meets the needs and preferences of our community. Your participation will help us balance various perspectives and make informed decisions that benefit everyone.
What is the timeframe for this project?
The design is anticipated to be finished this financial year (FY 2024/2025), pending statutory approval timeframes.
Construction on the project is expected to start the following year (FY 2025/2026), with the construction program to be updated as the design is progressed and a contractor awarded.
