Consultation has concluded

The LGBTQIA+ Advisory Group represents a diverse community and is a consultative forum that provide strategic advice to the City of Perth (City) with the implementation of the LGBTQIA+ Plan and other matters relating to the diversity of sexual orientation, sex and gender identity.

The LGBTQIA+ Advisory Group is not a committee of Council.

The City is seeking new members to be appointed until the conclusion of the current LGBTQIA+ Plan 2022 - 2024, or until otherwise resolved by Council.

The objectives of the LGBTQIA+ Advisory Group include:

• Offer advice to the City through its integrated approach to equity, diversity and inclusion

• Provide guidance for the City to design local responses to complex equity, diversity and inclusion issues

• Provide advice to the City on the implementation of its Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Plans, specifically the LGBTQIA+ Plan

• Foster a greater understanding and awareness of LGBTQIA+ diversity, equity and inclusion matters within the community.

Nominations close at 5pm, Wednesday 3rd May 2023.
