Consultation has concluded

The City of Perth welcomes responses to the survey from all members of the community.

At the 30 April 2019 Council meeting Commissioners decided to suspend Heritage Grant funding subject to a review of the policy guiding the City’s Heritage Grants and reconsideration by Council. The Heritage Grant guidelines and processes have been reviewed by the City and some changes have been proposed.

Heritage Grants are available to owners of a rateable property within the City of Perth which is listed as a Heritage Place in the City of Perth City Planning Scheme, listed in the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority heritage inventory or is a building with identified cultural heritage significance in a Heritage Area in the City of Perth Planning Scheme.

The grants support property owners through projects such as:

  • restoration of buildings
  • removal of intrusive elements
  • stabilisation works
  • Conservation Management Plans and other technical heritage reports and
  • works required to comply with the Building Code of Australia.

Your voice is crucial and the City is now seeking community feedback on the Heritage Grants, including the proposed changes, to inform the review before it is reconsidered by Council. You can access the survey below.
