The Hay Street – Elder to Thomas – Two-Way Project is being developed and once complete, will enhance access to West Perth and allow CAT bus services to operate in both directions along Hay Street, east of Outram Street.
Information is provided in the final concept plan about the proposed changes—limited to intersections—to enable the conversion of the street to two-way traffic.
What’s been done to date?
The community was consulted on the Draft Concept Plan via Engage Perth in August 2025. View the Survey summary.
The feedback received informed the Final Concept Plan, which was approved by Council in December 2025. View the Final Concept plan.
What’s next?
The Construction is scheduled to commence in 2027. Further information, including the staging of these works, will be provided on this page in the coming months.
