Project Update
The detailed design for the Mount Street and Spring Street cycle upgrades has been completed and construction is underway. Stage 1 of the project is scheduled for completion in January 2020.
The planned Milligan Street cycle upgrades have been placed on hold and will be subject to an internal review.
Project Overview
As part of an ongoing commitment to improving the City’s transport network, the City of Perth is planning a suite of transport upgrades on Milligan Street, Mount Street, and Spring Street which will provide improved pedestrian walkability and cycling connectivity, and more efficient traffic movement.
Features
The proposal includes cycling facilities, improved crossing priority for pedestrians, and more efficient use of traffic lanes.
Benefits
These upgrades will enhance the movement of people through the city and will result in overall improvements to the safety of the transport network.
