Why is this amendment being proposed?
The amendment would enable the City to undertake an assessment of the appropriateness of the land use as part of the Development Application, and consider the matters set out under clause 67 of the Deemed Provisions. The assessment may include consultation with the community.
What impact will the amendment have on land in the scheme area?
As a planning approval is still required for a ‘P’ preferred use under the City’s Schemes, the amendment will have no impact on any land within the scheme area and will not affect existing land uses operating under the Community and Cultural and Community land uses groups within the City.
Will the amendment affect the transition from CPS2 to a future Local Planning Scheme No.3?
The amendment will not affect or impact the transition from CPS2 to a future Local Planning Scheme.
How long are the scheme amendments being advertised for?
The City will advertise the Amendments for a duration of 42-days, with a 7-day exclusion period to account for Easter, commencing on 27 February 2023 and concluding 16 April 2023, in accordance with the requirements for standard scheme amendments as set out by the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.
