The City of Perth is seeking your feedback on a proposed concept design to improve the traffic calming measures at the intersection of The Avenue and Fairway in Crawley.

Following valuable feedback from the community, we've developed a design to enhance traffic calming measures in this area. Insights have highlighted concerns over pedestrian safety, noise, and the efficiency of the existing drainage system.

The existing raised plateau will be replaced with new speed humps, and pram ramps will be installed to accommodate smooth footpath transition. To address stormwater runoff, a new drainage line is proposed, replacing the existing grates.

BENEFITS TO THE COMMUNITY

  • Increased pedestrian safety: making our streets safer for residents and visitors.
  • Noise reduction: addressing impact noise generated from vehicles traversing existing stormwater grates.
  • Decreased maintenance costs: reducing frequent debris clean-up and replacement of the current drains from vehicle impact.
