Consultation has concluded

Let's craft an extraordinary small playground together!

Mardalup Park, a beloved park in East Perth, is set for an exciting playground upgrade with completion planned for June 2026.

Your thoughts and ideas are essential to help inform the concept designs and selection of the play elements to be installed in the park. Mardalup Park is more than just a space to play—it is where families connect with the river, and culture and where our neighbourhoods flourish.

Please make sure you have reviewed the Frequently Asked Questions and Key Documents before submitting your comments. Thank you for taking the time to contribute feedback.

The Journey of a Playground Renewal

There are multiple stages in a playground renewal, below is the City of Perth's approach

How can the community influence the project?

We are asking the public to:

  • Learn more about the scope of the playground renewal project by exploring the Frequently Asked Questions and explainer documents.
  • Share what you currently love about the playground and help us craft a new playground design by telling us what types of play opportunities you like by completing Mardalup Park Playground Survey

How can you give your feedback?

  • Online via the submission Mardalup Park Playground Survey
  • By email - info@cityofperth.wa.gov.au
  • In Person by visiting the drop-in session at Mardalup Park

Drop-in sessions provide members of the public a chance to ask City staff questions about the specific topic, review engagement materials, and clarify how they can best submit feedback. The public can drop-in and out of the session as there is no formal presentation or set agenda.

  • When: Sunday 23 March 2025
  • Where: Mardalup Playground
  • Time: 9:30am – 11:00am

Online submissions close Sunday 23 March 2025

Next Steps?

After the 23rd of March, the results from the consultation period will be reviewed and your input will be used to create a project brief. Playground contractors will be invited to create a concept design based on the brief. Once concept designs have been received the City of Perth will invite the community to vote on which design will be installed.
