'Making Space for Culture' is a joint initiative of City of Perth, Town of Victoria Park, City of South Perth and City of Vincent.
This study is a needs analysis of artist live/work and makerspaces in the Perth inner-city areas which aims to identify key opportunities and policy mechanisms that the four councils could pursue to facilitate an uptake of sustainable, affordable, and long-term arts accommodation and maker spaces across the inner city neighbourhoods.
The study is a key recommendation arising from workshops led by Tim Jones, CEO, Artscape, Toronto, on his national tour of Australia, hosted by the City of Perth in June 2019 in partnership with the Cities of Sydney and Melbourne.
