PLAYGROUND RENEWAL PROGRAM 2024-2025

The City’s parks and gardens offer a range of amenities to its growing residential community including several small playgrounds throughout its neighbourhood boundary, some of which are reaching their end of life and need to be renewed. Harold Boas Gardens, located on Delhi Street, West Perth has cultural heritage significance as a rare example of a 'Paradise-style' garden. Designed by Landscape Architects Blackwell and Cala, Harold Boas features elements dating back to circa 1898, 1956, and 1975.

Harold Playground constructed in 2009, is scheduled for renewal. As part of its annual Playground Renewal Program the City engaged the services of Four Landscape Studios. Four produced a design that celebrates the paradise-style garden design.
