Consultation has concluded
Karak Walk will close on Monday 29 August and remain closed for the duration of the ECU campus construction. Construction of the new ECU campus is to occur on both sides of Karak Walk and will involve high risk activities (such as material handling and moving machinery) over the walk.
As part of Multiplex’s construction management plan Karak Walk will be closed for the duration of construction to avoid any public safety risks.
Development WA are the approval authority for this land and they have approved the closure. The City has been working with Development WA, ECU and Multiplex to ensure proper consultation with the relevant stakeholders and appropriate wayfinding signage is installed for the closure.
